Entering the film industry young as an audio tech on an obscure film, Carter Boehm went on to found and serve as the president of Vienna, Virginia’s Ponderosa Films. The film production company borrows its name from an earlier company established by Carter Boehm’s father.

Mr. Boehm has served as the executive producer of multiple feature films, including 2017’s Broken Ghost and 2019’s Robert the Bruce. In 2022, he received an executive producer credit for his work on two westerns, Murder at Yellowstone City and Terror on the Prairie.

Mr. Boehm is also the developer of Yellowstone Film Ranch Studios in Livingston, Montana. With a backlot set against the natural beauty of a Montana landscape, this multi-million-dollar studio and production facility has played an instrumental role in the production of several major Hollywood films. In 2023, it housed the production of the western The Unholy Trinity, which starred Pierce Brosnan and Samuel L. Jackson. Mr. Boehm also served as the executive producer of this film.
